Microsoft has announced hard release dates for eight of its upcoming Windows Server 2003 certifications exams. The schedule was unveiled at the MCP TechMentor conference last week in New Orleans.
According to product managers in the Microsoft certification program, the beta for six exams will be released in June, followed by public release of four exams in August.
Microsoft said there will be no separate beta exam for the upcoming Exam 70-292, "Managing and maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment for an MCSA certified on Windows 2000," (MCSA and MCSE, part one) and Exam 70-296, "Planning, implementing, and maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment for an MCSE certified on Windows 2000," (MCSE, part two). Instead, Microsoft will use the beta results for Exam 70-290 "Managing and maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment" and Exam 70-291 "Implementing, managing, and maintaining a Windows Server 2003 network infrastructure" to drive the final form of the 70-292 exam.
Likewise, it will combine 70-293 "Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastucture" and 70-294 "Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure" to drive the final form of the 70-296 exam.
