Microsoft announces Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850 for $14.95

Microsoft has given us a new reminder that it makes other hardware products besides the Surface tablets and the Xbox One. Today, the company revealed plans to release the Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850 later this month for $14.95.

As the name suggests, the mouse is made for being used primarily by notebooks and for people who find themselves traveling a lot and don"t have the space to use a full size mouse; it"s only 3.95 inches long and 2.29 inches wide. The design has been made for both left and right handed people but still has space for a scroll wheel in the middle.

The mouse uses a mini USB transceiver with 2.4GHz wireless technology that can be stored inside the casing when it is not in use.

Taking a page from Nokia"s Lumia smartphones, the Wireless Mobile Mouse will be available in five different colors which Microsoft has given some rather interesting names: Coal Black, Flame Red, Orchid Pink, Pantone Purple, and Wool Blue. While its not the most high profile hardware product Microsoft has, these new mice sound like they will be something that business and frequent travelers will like to take alongside their notebooks.
