Microsoft has today appointed Pip Marlow as the new General Manager for their Australian division.
Marlow will replace the outgoing Tracey Fellows, who left the role late last year and moved to Singapore after being offered the role of Area Vice President for Microsoft Asia Pacific following the departure of Emilio Umeoka in the middle of last year for personal reasons.
“I feel both confident and proud handing the reigns of Microsoft Australia to Pip,” Tracey Fellows said in a statement earlier today.
“Pip has contributed so much, in so many parts of our business and the appointment couldn’t be more deserved. Pip’s local experience gives her many strong customer and partner relationships that will continue to grow in this new role."
Before undertaking the new role, Marlow resided as the Director of the Enterprise and Partner business in Australia. In her 15 years at Microsoft, Marlow has also directed the Small and Medium Business Solutions & Partners division and been the Director of Public Sector business.
"I’m excited to take on the opportunity to lead the Australian subsidiary. It’s a time of significant change for our industry and Microsoft as businesses and consumers move to the cloud,” Pip Marlow commented today. “I’m looking forward to leading an already-strong team to achieve great results for our customers and partners.”
