Microsoft Azure receives HITRUST Certification

Microsoft has announced the accreditation of the HITRUST Certification to its Azure Services, which incorporates healthcare specific security, privacy and regulatory requirements in order to guarantee industry best practices. According to the company, the certification will provide healthcare organizations a tailored framework on the Azure environment.

It"s another move from Microsoft to gather even more important players around the world to use its cloud services, one of the latest being Adobe. As stated in the blog post by Alice Rison, Senior Director at Microsoft Azure:

"Achieving HITRUST CSF Certification is an awesome example of Azure removing yet another hurdle so a large and important aspect of our global society, i.e., healthcare industries and professionals, can confidently and securely leverage the services, efficiencies, and power of Microsoft Azure."
