Following reports that came out yesterday, Microsoft has now officially confirmed that its platform-exclusive open-world action title Crackdown 3 has been delayed yet again. This marks the third time that the title"s release has been pushed back.
The most recent release window had the game launching sometime in Spring 2018, but in a statement to Windows Central, Microsoft has said that the third installment is now planned to land in February 2019 to "ensure we deliver the experience" that fans deserve.
The new release window will have the game skipping over some blockbuster titles lined up this year such as Black Ops 4, Battlefield V, and Red Dead Redemption 2, but it will be going head to head against PlayStation 4"s upcoming open-world survival title Days Gone, save for any more delays of course.
Crackdown 3 is heading for the Xbox One family of consoles and Windows 10 PCs. Microsoft plans to reveal some more details on the game during its E3 presentation on June 10.
