Microsoft could be planning a WinHEC event for HoloLens partners in November

Microsoft China recently hosted the WinHEC event for its hardware partners from the country. At the event, the company made announcements related to Windows 10 Mobile hardware, such as the forthcoming support for fingerprint scanners. Now, the company is believed to be organizing one more event this year that would be dedicated to its HoloLens platform.

According to a page discovered by the reliable Microsoft tipster, @h0x0d aka WalkingCat, the company seems to be planning an event dedicated to "Windows Mixed," a name that hasn"t appeared before. Since WinHEC focuses on hardware and Windows Mixed could be related to mixed reality, we suspect the event could be related to HoloLens.

"WinHEC Mixed Reality" now becomes "WinHEC Fall Event" and the date is November 1st-5th 2016 https://t.co/fropQPFe2h pic.twitter.com/uC2ol6MHZR

At the time of writing, the earlier participation page has been replaced with a generic one, however, the previous one can still be seen in the above image. The earlier version of the WinHEC page revealed that the event would take place from November 1 to November 5, while the new one does not provide any such information and is just called as WinHEC Fall Event in the title bar.

If indeed the company is planning such an event, we should be hearing about it in the near future.
