Microsoft counts down to Halloween with its 'Haunted Hub' collection

Microsoft usually offers big discounts in the Windows Store on festive occasions. In the past, the company has discounted select content in the Windows Store for its "Ready, Set, Summer", end of summer and "10 Days of 10 cent deals" promotions. Now, with Halloween just around the corner, Microsoft is highlighting several horror-inspired apps, games, movies, TV shows and music in the Windows Store, and offering discounts on many as well.

Microsoft is highlighting select content with its new "Haunted Hub" collection in the Windows Store. Hotel Transylvania can now be rented for as low as $0.31, with the "Double Feature" containing both parts of the series available at $23.99 - a 14% discount. The "Triple Feature" set containing The BoxTrolls, ParaNorman and Coraline can be purchased for 35% off its usual price. Several other movies such as Goosebumps, Monster House, Hocus Pocus and the Ghost Busters Double Feature set are listed as well.

Microsoft is also highlighting several TV shows including Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Goosebumps and Stranger Things on Netflix. In terms of apps and games, Microsoft is offering new Halloween-themed skin packs in Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, and has listed Plex, ROBLOX, Hulu and Candy Crush Saga as well. In the music category, the company is discounting Michael Jackson"s Thriller: 25th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition by 25%.

Microsoft has noted that these deals are available until October 31, 2016 and are valid in the US and Canada only. You can check out the Haunted Hub collection in the Windows Store here.
