Microsoft cuts 10% off Surface Books in the US, including Performance Base models

For the last few weeks, Microsoft has been offering $200 off its entry-level Surface Book in the United States, and $250 off the most affordable model to include a discrete GPU. The other models in the range had remained at full price, but discounts are never far away from Microsoft"s devices; indeed, it"s now offering savings across the rest of its Surface Book line.

Microsoft has cut 10% off all the other models in the Surface Book range; it"s even applied that discount to the Core i7 models, despite the fact that all three of them are sold out - and two of them have actually been out of stock for several weeks.

However, the good news is that Microsoft has also applied the discount to all Surface Book with Performance Base models too. The company launched its Performance Base variants last year, featuring the same sixth-generation ("Skylake") Intel Core i7 processors as the standard models, but with more powerful graphics performance, and improved battery life.

  • 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD | usually $2,399 | now $2,159.10 (save $239.90)
  • 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD | usually $2,799 | now $2,519.10 (save $279.90)
  • 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD | usually $3,299 | now $2,969.10 (save $329.90)

The latest 10% discounts across the range will continue until February 26. The earlier savings on the lower-end Surface Books will end on February 25.
