Microsoft cuts Lumia 950 and 950 XL prices in Europe; now €299 and €399

Last week, Microsoft slashed 22% off the Lumia 950, and 15% off the 950 XL in the UK, three months after cutting their prices by 17%. It was the third permanent price cut for the two Windows 10 Mobile flagships there this year, and buyers are also being given a free Display Dock worth £79.99 with each handset.

But Brits aren"t the only ones to see chunky reductions on the two range-topping Lumias. As TechBuzzIreland.com noted, the 950 and 950 XL both got €200 off in Ireland back in June, and Microsoft has now cut their prices further, by an additional €100 each.

The Lumia 950 now costs €299 - half the price at which it launched at the end of last year - while the 950 XL is now €399.

The reductions aren"t limited to Ireland; the two devices are now identically priced in other eurozone markets too. In some countries, such as France, Microsoft is giving a free Dock worth €99 with at least one of the two handsets - but in some markets, like Spain, that freebie isn"t available.
