Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 coming in October

Microsoft has more than just Windows 8.1 coming out in October. Today, the company revealed as part of its presentation at the Directions EMEA 2013 conference in Vienna, Austria Microsoft that Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 will be coming out in October as well.

Just in case you might be unfamiliar with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, it is their popular enterprise resource planning software product that is supposed to help businesses with tasks such as processing orders, managing their inventory, handling the payroll of their employees and more.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 is supposed to offer businesses tighter integration with their Office 365 suite and its family of applications. In a blog post, Microsoft says:

Microsoft Dynamics NAV can now be deployed as an application to on-premises and cloud-based SharePoint sites, with single sign on and a consistent look and feel across the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client and Office 365. Deeper data integration capabilities will enable customers to extend Microsoft Dynamics NAV business processes with SharePoint workflows and Web parts, and take full advantage of Microsoft Excel and the Excel Web App.

The new version also supports more payroll options such as SEPA direct debit and credit transfer. Microsoft did not give a specific release date for its general availabitity
