Microsoft released a big update for its Edge browser on iOS today. It includes a long-awaited feature that"s been listed as coming soon since the app"s launch in October 2017: support for reading e-books that were purchased from the Microsoft Store.
Unfortunately, things like bookmarks, annotation, and highlights are not supported at this time. Hopefully, those features will show up later on, as it"s not much of a cross-platform book-reading app without them.
Here"s the full changelog for version 42.1.0:
* Sign in with a school or work account
-Favorites and password syncing coming soon
*On iPad, press the Command key of your attached keyboard to see available shortcuts
*Improved Hub design
*Read books on the go
-Books from the Microsoft Store
-Bookmarks, annotation and highlights not supported
*Performance improvements
There aren"t any new updates for Edge on Android just yet. The last update was from last week, and that added Timeline support to the browser.
If you want to download Edge for iOS, you can find it on the App Store here.
