Last week, among its many Black Friday deals in the US, Microsoft launched the "HP Elite x3 Holiday Bundle", priced at $1,149. It was the first discount on HP"s Windows 10 Mobile flagship phone since it launched in September for $799, including the Desk Dock accessory that supports the operating system"s PC-like Continuum mode.
The Holiday Bundle included not just the Desk Dock, but also the notebook style Lap Dock - which is usually priced at an additional $599 - as well as a case and screen protector for the phone. Microsoft reduced the cost of the bundle further over the holiday weekend, dropping its price to just $999.
The small print on the Microsoft Store listing for the bundle stated that the deal was due to end on Cyber Monday, November 28. But Microsoft has quietly extended that offer; it"s now scheduled to continue until December 3 instead.
At its current price of $999, the bundle offers savings of $462 (around 32%) compared with buying each item separately at full price.
