Microsoft formally announces Surface Laptop in new colors

At an event in New York City in May, Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop, the first device to showcase the company"s new operating system, Windows 10 S. Promised in four different colors, you only had one choice if you wanted the variant with a Core i7.

But in July, new Core i7 variants in Burgundy, Cobalt Blue, and Graphite Gold showed up on the product listing as coming soon. We discovered that pre-orders for the new models opened up on Friday, but now, Microsoft has formally announced the new variants of the Laptop, providing some additional details.

The new variants are coming to 20 countries, including the US, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherland, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Norway, Australia, and New Zealand. You can expect them to arrive at the end of October, priced similarly to the already existing Platinum model.

And speaking of the Platinum Surface Laptop, there"s yet another variant that was added recently; a variant with a Core i7, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Sold for $2,699, this one will ship on October 3, and isn"t available in any of the new colors.
