Just about a week ago, Microsoft launched its latest Garage app, called "Cache." The app helps users bookmark text snippets, images, web pages, files, reference material, and notes, which can be synced across devices. And just recently, the Redmond giant unveiled a new set of experimental consumer apps.
There are new five applications, which consist of:
- Hearing AI: Experience sound and speech through graphical visualizations, and receive key notifications about vital sound changes in your environment
- Project Copenhagen: The simplest way to view, attach, and share your OneDrive files to anyone with Gmail
- Project Oceana: The quickest way to access, and keep tabs on your Outlook inbox right from within your browser
- Project Santorini: A fresh take on exploring and revisiting your photos
- Write Ideas: Eases students through their writing assignments by helping them to express their creative ideas using voice, doodles, and text
These five apps are currently available "by invitation". Interested people can sign up as testers by clicking on the respective app. User feedback on these apps will determine if they can be prepared for a wider release.
The Microsoft Garage is a part of Microsoft that lets employees develop their own apps from their own creative ideas. Set up in 2009, it has been the home for innovative creations for Microsoft that aims to make computing easier. In 2014, it opened its doors to other platforms, like iOS and Android.
