Microsoft updated its Garage project Next Lock Screen today, bringing the version number to 3.10. While the Android application received support for fingerprint readers back in February, and then improved fingerprint scanning in March, today"s update promises to bring the feature to "a lot more devices".

1. New welcome tutorials
2. Support volume control shown on top of lock screen
3. Support finger print unlock on a lot more devices
4. Improve GPU performance and reduce memory usage.
5. Bug fixes
Next Lock Screen allows the user to have quick access to a selection of apps and settings from the lock screen, as well as customized notifications, people, weather, calendar, and more.
Microsoft"s Garage projects are becoming increasingly popular on iOS and Android; this one is marked as having between one and five million downloads, scoring an average 4.2 between almost 75,000 reviews. Arrow Launcher is another that"s taken off in popularity, coming in at 4.3 with almost 100,000.
