Microsoft giving away 30th Anniversary Arc Touch mouse

Earlier this year, Microsoft made mention of 2012 being the 30th anniversary of its Microsoft Hardware division. Today, the company announced a special giveaway contest where one person will walk away with a special 30th anniversary edition of the company"s Arc Touch mouse product.

The contest involves using your Twitter account to go back to the 1980s ... sort of. The Microsoft Hardware blog states:

Tweet what you love about the 80’s and include hashtag #MSHWturns30. We’ll pick 1 winner from the top 100 tweets that will be eligible to win one of these commemorative 30th Anniversary Arc Touch mice.

The giveaway"s official rules state that it will end on June 14. Sorry, people in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria; you are not eligible to enter. Next at Microsoft reports that just 30 of these 30th Anniversary Arc Touch mice products have been made so in this case, "limited edition" is not just a throwaway marketing line. All of them were hand painted as well.

The Microsoft Hardware blog also took time to look back on 1982, when Microsoft released its first PC hardware product, which is known as the "Green-Eyed Monster" for some pretty obvious reasons.
