Microsoft has announced that it will be opening its flagship Microsoft Store in London on July 11, 2019, which confirms earlier rumours that the store would be opening this summer. Microsoft said the store is going to be located at Oxford Circus and is expected to have over three floors covering 21,932 square feet.
Discussing the news, David Porter, Microsoft Store, said:
“A flagship store in London has long been part of our vision for our physical and digital store presence. This opening represents another step in our journey to meet our customers – from consumers to businesses – wherever they are and deepen our connection with them. London is one of the world’s most exciting shopping destinations, and we look forward to empowering customers to explore all that is possible with Microsoft.”
For those who do drop into the store to see what’s on offer, Microsoft says you’ll be able to test all the latest products and services from Microsoft and its partners through interactive zones. There will also be video walls throughout the store which show off a range of Microsoft products including Surface, Windows, Office, Xbox, HoloLens, and PC gaming.
Microsoft is planning to include an Answer Desk which will offer support and repairs no matter where the device was purchased, what brand it is or what operating system it runs. Additionally, there’ll be a Community Theatre which will run workshops and programmes where people from different backgrounds can brush up on their technical skills.
The new store joins flagships in New York and Sydney and stores across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
