Microsoft hiring for second retail store in Bellevue, Washington

One of Microsoft"s first retail store locations was in Bellevue, Washington, just a few miles away from the company"s Redmond headquarters. The store, which was the seventh location launched by Microsoft, opened in November 2010 at the downtown Bellevue Square Mall. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer helped to launch the store, as you can see in the video above.

While Microsoft has opened up quite a few new store sites since then all over the U.S. and parts of Canada, only one other store has launched in the company"s home state of Washington, over in Seattle. Today, a new post on Microsoft"s Careers page indicated that a second Bellevue location is in the works.

The listing calls for a store manager to head up one of Microsoft"s smaller specialty store locations. Microsoft opened up a large number of these stores last October with the launch of Windows 8 and the Surface tablet and has continued to open these kiosk-like locations in 2013. The Bellevue specialty store will likely be placed inside another mall or large shopping center in the city.

Microsoft currently has over 70 full and specialty store locations and has plans to openĀ a number of other stores across the U.S. over the next few months.
