Microsoft introduces new transforming Xbox 360 controller

Microsoft has unveiled a brand new wireless controller which includes a d-pad that transforms from a plus to a disc.

The new controller aims to improve precision, accuracy and control for both directional and sweeping movements. The updated controller includes a special edition matte silver colour with a unique button design and comes with a play and charge kit. The controller features concave analog sticks and gray A,B,X,Y buttons for added style. You can see a demonstration of how the new controller works, below. Microsoft revealed it has successfully patented the transforming d-pad too.

Microsoft says the controller will launch on November 9 priced at $64.99 in the United States. If you"re in Europe you"ll have to wait until February 2011 to get your hands on your own transformer.
