Microsoft is adding a light theme to the Xbox One Dashboard

Today, Microsoft made a number of announcements at gamescom regarding its Xbox One family of consoles, including game trailers, news about the One X, and more. Mike Ybarra showed off some features coming in the Fall update, and announced that the Xbox One Dashboard will finally offer a light theme.

The news isn"t entirely surprising, as it was rumored, and Microsoft recently updated the Xbox app for Windows 10 to support the feature. The Android and iOS apps have still not been updated, but we"ve been trying to look into whether or not the apps will support it, although it seems increasingly likely.

The Fall update for the Xbox One is already in testing with Xbox Insiders in the Alpha ring, and it contains a number of new features, such as a more customizable Home, a redesigned Guide, and more. We"re expecting to see it available to the general public before the Xbox One X launches, likely in October.
