Back in October, Microsoft surprisingly announced the Surface Book 2 in 13- and 15-inch variants, on the same day that the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update was released. The new models were officially launched almost a month later, with the 15-inch model only being available for pre-order in the United States of America.
Today, however, Microsoft has announced that it will now be expanding the availability of the larger model to 17 new markets, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
The 15-inch model comes with Nvidia’s GTX 1060 graphics card, making it capable of running some of the latest games. Similarly, it also includes Xbox Wireless support, unlike its smaller counterpart, making it the much more attractive model in terms of gaming. Obviously, however, the increased price has to be taken into account as well.
Interestingly, the 13-inch variant is already available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Beginning in February, Microsoft also plans to roll out both variants to Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
If you belong to any of the aforementioned 17 countries, you can pre-order the 15-inch Surface Book 2 here.
