Microsoft revealed earlier this year that it was planning to bring its Word Flow keyboard - originally developed for Windows phones - to other platforms. Since then, we"ve seen the keyboard running on iOS, including its "Arc" mode for one-handed usage, and more recently, screenshots revealed its customizable themes on iPhones.
Word Flow is currently available to just a lucky few as the company is testing it in a closed beta. But if you"ve been eagerly waiting to get your hands on it, you can now register your interest to do so.
Microsoft has launched a registration site, where you can enter your email address with the promise that the company will "send you an invitation as soon as the Word Flow for iPhone app is ready". The site also states that the company wants "to get it JUST right before we open it up to everyone."
As on Windows phones, the iOS version of the keyboard will let users either type words as they would on any other keyboard, or "swipe" words by dragging their fingers across the letters of the words that they want to spell. The Word Flow keyboard on a Windows phone was used to break the Guinness World Record for fastest text input on a touchscreen in 2014, although that record was later broken using the Fleksy keyboard on an Android handset.
