Microsoft is offering a month of EA Play for 99 cents

Microsoft announced today that if you"re thinking of jumping on-board with EA Play, now might be the time. You can get your first month for just $0.99, an 80% discount from the usual price of $4.99. The service offers access to over 100 games from new ones like madden NFL 20 and STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order to remakes of old classics like NHL 94 REWIND.

As noted, as a standalone service, EA Play usually costs $4.99, but the product page also says that it comes with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC, both of which already have their own promotions where you can get the first month for $1. Also, if you"ve got a subscription to Xbox Live Gold, you can convert that to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for free, giving you a nice head start at a lower price.

There are other perks to EA Play as well, such as a 10% off on games, FUT and MUT points, Apex Legends Battle Passes, and more. Microsoft also said that you can get brand-new games like FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21 for 10 hours, and you"ll also get some members-only benefits.

The announcement didn"t confirm when this offer ends, and interestingly, there doesn"t seem to be anything anywhere that says that you need to be a new subscriber, although that does seem likely. If you want to sign up, you can find it here.
