Microsoft is offering hundreds of dollars off PCs from HP, Dell, Alienware, Lenovo and more

To celebrate Pi Day (3/14), Microsoft is offering 31.4% off select Dell notebooks - but the company is also offering plenty of other discounts on a wide range of other PCs from various manufacturers as part of its Spring Sale promotion.

Some of the devices available feature older hardware, including 4th- and 5th-generation Intel Core i-series processors - but many of the desktops and laptops included in the promotion feature the latest 6th-gen "Skylake" chips from Intel.

Those are just a few examples - there are plenty of others to pick from over on the Microsoft Store.

Many of the discounts began today, and will remain available through to March 27 - but with a frustrating lack of consistency, several of the devices have no end-dates listed for the deals.

The Lenovo Ideacentre AIO 700-27ISH is a particularly unhelpful example, featuring two sets of start- and end-dates with no indication of which offer each set applies to.

Still, despite the sloppy small print, there are clearly plenty of opportunities to save on a wide selection of devices - and it"s worth remembering too that all PCs sold via the Microsoft Store are "Signature Edition", which means they"ll be free from pre-installed bloatware.
