Microsoft is sending out more invitations for the Flight Simulator Alpha

Today, Microsoft posted its latest Flight Simulator development update, and while the team promised to keep it brief, there are a few key bits of information. Most importantly, more invitations are rolling out to try out the Alpha, so if you"ve been signed up for a while and haven"t heard anything yet, keep an eye on your inbox.

Also, Flight Simulator Alpha 4 is going to roll out one week from today, on June 11. Unsurprisingly, that"s also when the team will publish the release notes. According to the development roadmap, Alpha 5 will be released in early July, followed by a closed beta in mid-July. During that time, there will be various partnership announcements.

The last major Flight Simulator build was released on May 14, followed by a patch a couple of weeks later. The last big update came with the ability to fly a Boeing 747, making it only the second jet to be included in the game after the Airbus A320.

You can still sign up to test out the Alpha, but you might not be included in this week"s round of invitations. You can sign up here.
