Bit by bit, we"ve come to know more about the upcoming Xbox Series X since the console was first shown off at The Game Awards last year. Microsoft has been pretty open about its upcoming hardware, and soon enough, we"ll get a look at next-generation games, too.
In a tweet, Microsoft has revealed that it will be showing off Xbox Series X gameplay during the next Inside Xbox presentation, which is being held on May 7. During The Game Awards, Microsoft showed off in-engine footage of Hellblade II, which may have provided a glimpse at what the hardware is capable of, but now we"ll be getting a look at actual gameplay.

Microsoft says it will show games from global developers and partners, so it seems like we"ll be seeing more than one game. At the same time, it"s not completely clear that we"ll see first-party games from Xbox Game Studios, though that would make sense.
Microsoft has already shared the full spec list for the Xbox Series X, so we already know features like variable rate shading and ray tracing will be present, it"s just a matter of seeing how big of an impact they"ll have on the way games look. Microsoft has also dived into the details of the Series X controller, so we know what to expect on that front as well.
About all that"s left to be known about the console is its price and release date, and one can hope that we"ll hear more about that during the event as well. The next episode of Inside Xbox will take place on May 7 at 8 AM Pacific Time, and you can catch it on the Xbox channel on Mixer.
