Instead of stealing Apple"s thunder yesterday by releasing a new desktop and mobile build, Windows Insider lead Gabe Aul let it be known that a mobile build was not going to drop, and so far, there has been no word at all on a new desktop build for Insiders to play around with. However, Microsoft has issued a patch through Windows Update that you can install right now for the buggy "flyouts" that can become unresponsive.
Aul tweeted availability of the patch to Insiders amongst all the (daily) requests by followers for an updated Mobile and Desktop build, which leads to the following Support page (kb3070365) that details the symptoms for this patch:
When you click icons on the taskbar (including Start, Cortana, Network, Battery, and Action Center) in Build 10130 of Windows 10 Insider Preview, the expected flyout might not open.
The patch requires a restart, so bear that in mind while installing.
In other news, Aul has also said that build 10130 will not drop for the Surface 3 due to a bug specific to Cherry Trail systems. He added that a new Windows 10 Mobile candidate build is "getting there," and that Microsoft needed to fix a few things to allow for a smooth upgrade from build 10080.
As usual we"ll keep you posted about further Windows 10 related developments.
