Microsoft is kicking off the 2017 back to school discount season a bit earlier this year, offering up to $150 off of select products. The discounts will run from July 7 through September 17, although some deals have an earlier cut-off date.
The highlight of this year’s deals is a Surface Pro 4 i5 256GB bundle that includes a type cover for $999, or $899 if you are a student and have a valid school email address. The offer is valid until September 19. Additionally, students and teachers get Office 365 for Education for free, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams. Microsoft is also offering $150 off the entry level Surface Book, a 10 percent price cut that began before the back to school season and will last until July 15. In addition, with every Surface purchase, buyers receive a 3-month Groove membership.
There is also a $20 price cut on various Xbox One S bundles. You can get an Xbox One S Battlefield 1 Bundle, a Forza Horizon 3 Bundle and a Gears of War 4 Special Edition Bundle for $279 instead of the usual $299. A Battlefield 1 Special Edition Bundle that includes a 1TB console in Military Green along with a matching controller and the deluxe version of the game, is selling for $299 instead of the normal price of $349, saving you a cool $50. All Xbox One S console offers run through August 30.
Unfortunately for customers from the rest of the world, the discounts are exclusive to the U.S. In addition, all offers will be available only while supplies last and there is a unit limit per customer that will vary.
