Microsoft launches website Share button for Skype

Share buttons on the web are nothing new - Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and many other platforms have offered them for years, making it easy for web users to quickly share content with their friends and followers. But today, you may well spot a new addition on some sites: a new share button for Skype.

There"s nothing too fancy about this new addition - if you"ve seen one share button, you"ve seen them all. Like other similar offerings, the Skype button can be easily embedded on a website, with various configurations available to fit into the design and layout of each site.

Microsoft has even made it easy to grab the embed code with a mini-wizard allowing developers to customize various elements before adding it to their sites.

You can view the new share buttons in action right now on MSN.com around the world, and Microsoft has also teamed up with sify.com to showcase the new feature especially for Skype users in India.
