WindowsBlogItalia today has reported that Microsoft Health is coming to Windows 10 PCs, along with an update to the phone application.
At this time, there"s no real way of telling the specifics of the app, such as if the phone version will be upgraded to a UWP app, or if this is UWP at all. The Italian blog was able to get its hands on the new app though and provided a hands-on video.
If you"re not interested in a Health app for PCs, or you"re on an earlier version of Windows, that"s OK. Back in October, Microsoft announced a Health web app, which can be accessed through your browser.
Translated from Italian, the description for the PC app says the following:
Set the wellness goals and get the recommended programs useful to implement a healthier life through graphics and color diagrams and easy to understand in the convenient app for phones or robust Web dashboard.
Reach your fitness goals with the custom tracking when running , cycle, play golf or do exercise. Record a map of the race or lap with GPS or follow the requests of the exercises led directly from the band.
Stay connected with email, documents, calendar, call alerts, and social updates.
You acknowledge that the data health and fitness are stored and processed in Microsoft data centers that can be located outside of your country. Please refer to the Privacy Policy of Microsoft Health for more information.
The mobile app is available for Android and iPhone.
It"s worth pointing out that the description states that the mobile app is only available for Android and iPhone. This is clearly a mistake and should not be taken as evidence that Microsoft is going to discontinue the version of Health for Windows phones.
In fact, the mobile version should be receiving an update as well. Here"s what"s coming to version 2.10.20412 (translated from Italian).
Completely transparent tile;
The information contained in the section Home are now all translated into Italian.
Section Home , as well as to show steps, calories burned, etc. Now also shows a description.
Under the Preferences section has been inserted Box Home with the ability to enable or disable the transparency and thelive tile .
You can customize the items to show in the live tile.
Of course, nothing is official, so there"s no timeline for when we might actually see the new features.
What do you think of the new apps? Let us know in the comments!
