Microsoft is currently running a limited-time offer in the US that should prove popular with buyers of its Surface 3 tablet.
The 10.8-inch Windows 10 devices are the most affordable in Microsoft"s Surface range, slotting in below their larger and more powerful Surface Pro siblings. Prices start at $499 for the entry-level model, rising to $699 for the range-topping 4G LTE configuration with 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.
Ordinarily, you"d have to pay an extra $129.99 for the Type Cover keyboard accessory - but until January 17, 2016 (or "while supplies last"), the Microsoft Store will give you a free Type Cover when you purchase a Surface 3.
The keyboard is available in black, blue, red and bright red, but the bright blue/cyan version is no longer listed.
