Since releasing the Xbox Game Pass to all users of the Xbox One console in June last year, Microsoft has made significant progress with the service over the last couple of months such as the expansion of Xbox Game Pass to eight more countries in September 2017. The software giant claims that more users have since been increasingly checking for new Xbox Game Pass titles first upon switching on the console.
However, gaining access to Xbox Game Pass has not been a straightforward process before. That changes now with the release of a dedicated tab for Xbox Game Pass on the console"s dashboard. The update is rolling out to all Xbox users across the world in response to a popular feedback from the service"s subscribers. Prior to its global rollout, the Game Pass tab was introduced to the Preview Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead Insiders in the U.S. last month.
As part of the new changes, the Entertainment tab has now disappeared from the Xbox One dashboard and all entertainment content has been transferred to the Store tab, the Movies and TV app, and other entertainment apps.
The new tab is meant to provide users a quicker way to discover new content on Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, the new feature works to highlight popular games, new titles, and the latest deals on games and downloadable content. It also provides recommendations for games based on user interest.
Microsoft released the new feature more than a month after the first anniversary of Xbox Game Pass. Earlier this year, the company launched an attempt to bolster the service by announcing that it will make all future Xbox exclusives available through Xbox Game Pass on day one.
