In June, at the E3 2017 gaming expo, Microsoft announced that its long-awaited new console will be called the Xbox One X. Unfortunately, gamers eager to get their hands on the mighty machine - which Microsoft says is "the most powerful console ever" - haven"t been able to order it yet.
That all changes today. Microsoft is at gamescom 2017 in Cologne, Germany this week, where it has announced pre-order availability ahead of the console"s release on November 7.
Microsoft has opened pre-orders for its new limited edition Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition console, which it officially revealed today. It"s priced the same as the "standard" edition of the console, but it will be available in extremely limited quantities. You can pre-order it now from Amazon.com in the US for $499.99; or Amazon.co.uk for £449.99. You should also be able to place your pre-order via Xbox.com in the US and in the UK.
When stocks of the Scorpio variant have been completely reserved, pre-orders will open for the standard version in the US from the Microsoft Store, Best Buy and Amazon.com; and in the UK from Microsoft Store and Amazon.co.uk.
Pre-orders are also available from some other retailers, as well as in some additional markets - check major retailers in your part of the world for details of availability.
