It was back in March at Microsoft"s Build 2016 developer conference that the company announced Windows Ink, which would be new pen features coming in the Anniversary Update (AU). The firm said that users would be able to draw on maps and pictures via Windows Maps and Microsoft Photos, but while the former was updated in time for the AU, the latter was not.
Almost a month ago, Insiders on the Fast ring finally saw Windows Ink support in Photos, and today, the feature is finally rolling out to everyone. The new version number is 16.1111.10000.0, and all Windows 10 devices will receive it, although it seems that you can"t use the pen features unless you"re on the Anniversary Update.
When drawing on your pictures, you"ll be able to choose from a pencil, pen, or marker. After you"re done, you"ll find that it will playback what you drew as you drew it, so you"ll be able to share it as either a finished image, or as a video.
