Over the weekend, Microsoft acknowledged a print spooler issue that was caused by last week"s Patch Tuesday updates. It might be causing you to be unable to print, and that could even include software printers, such as printing to PDF. The issue affected all supported versions of Windows, including Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 versions 1507, 1607, 1709, 1803, 1809, 1903, 1909, and 2004.
Today, the Redmond firm is releasing cumulative updates to fix the issue, but only for some of the affected versions. Versions 1909 and 1903 are getting KB4567512, version 1809 is getting KB4567513, and version 1803 is getting KB4567514. As of right now, there"s no solution for Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 versions 1507, 1607, or 2004.
Here"s the full description of the fix:
- Addresses an issue that might prevent certain printers from printing. The print spooler might generate an error or close unexpectedly when attempting to print, and no output will come from the affected printer. You might also encounter issues with the apps you are attempting to print from, such as receiving an error, or the app might close unexpectedly. This issue might also affect software-based printers, such as when printing to PDF.
There are a couple of known issues too, depending on what version of Windows 10 you"re on. For versions 1909 and 1903, here"s what you should be aware of:
Symptom | Workaround |

After installing this update on a Windows 10 device with a wireless wide area network (WWAN) LTE modem, reaching the internet might not be possible. However, the Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI) in the notification area might still indicate that you are connected to the internet. | We are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release. |
And there"s also one known issue for version 1809:
Symptom | Workaround |

After installing KB4493509, devices with some Asian language packs installed may receive the error, "0x800f0982 - PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND." |
Note If reinstalling the language pack does not mitigate the issue, reset your PC as follows:
