Microsoft releases Delve, helps you find that corporate content

Microsoft has announced today that they are rolling out Delve, their new Flipboard-style content discovery tool, to highlight content from across your organization that is relevant to you. It’s a corporate take on content aggregation and if it seems a bit silly at first for the enterprise, remember that Yammer was launched as the ‘social network for the enterprise’ and that product did quite well.

Delve is powered by Office Graph and it’s a way to connect with content to help you find more relevant information from across your organization. By using machine learning and Office 365, Delve brings relevant content to you, rather than you having to go find it.

Think of it this way, if you work in a large organization and you are working on marketing projects for one product line and another individual is working on a similar topic but for another project, Delve can help to connect these two initiatives based on their likeness. You can watch the video at the top of this post to get a better understanding about how this process works.

On a more personal level, Delve can help you find the important emails in your inbox by recognizing who is important to you and relevant to the projects you are currently working on. The app can even help to prepare you for meetings with the help of Office Graph too.

If your company extensively uses Office 365, Delve will likely be worked into your daily flow as it makes getting work done just a tad bit easier. The feature is rolling out now and should be available to you in the very near future.
