Back in November, Microsoft launched the Office Insider Program, giving Office 365 subscribers the opportunity to test new features ahead of their general release. Following its launch for Windows desktop, Windows 10 Mobile and Android users, the company expanded Office Insider to Mac last month, and it"s now released a new preview build.
Microsoft"s Office Support site includes an overview of what"s new in the latest update:
Feature | Applications | Notes |
Morph | PowerPoint | Create seamless transitions between slides and bring motion to your presentations to more effectively convey concepts and information. |
Quick Access Toolbar Customization | Word Excel PowerPoint | Use a command often and want quick access to it? Now you can add it to the top-left corner of the app window and customize the QAT to fit your needs. |
Forward message | Outlook | You asked for it so we brought it back. You can now use your trusty (Command-J) shortcut to forward a message. |
To update to new Insider Preview build 15.19 for Mac, simply follow Microsoft"s instructions below:
Office Insider builds for Mac are now available, you can opt in through Microsoft AutoUpdate. To access AutoUpdate, start an Office 2016 for Mac program, and then select Check for Updates on the Help menu.
