Alongside all the award ceremonies, new game announcements, and gameplay reveals at The Game Awards 2021 presentation today also came a surprising reveal from Microsoft. The company is renaming its "Xbox Game Pass for PC" subscription service, making it the PC Game Pass.
It"s a simple change, but it came complete with an almost three-minute-long trailer at the awards show featuring Dave (AKA Lil Dicky) and GaTa, watch it above, as well as patch notes.
With Microsoft pushing the PC variant of its popular subscription service quite heavily these days with its "Game Pass has PC Games" campaign, the name change is understandable. This should cutdown on the confusion on the variants too, which now go as Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
