Microsoft regularly updates its Windows Store with new deals related to apps, games, movies, TV shows and music. It kicked off the Windows Store Countdown Sale at the end of last year, slashed up to 93% off various titles in its Black Friday sale, and offered deep discounts in its "Ready, Set, Summer" and "10 Days of 10 cent deals" promotions prior to that as well.
Now, the company has lined up a rather interesting deal for fans of The Walking Dead, which is likely to entice gamers as well.
With Season 7 of AMC"s hit TV show The Walking Dead well underway, fans of the series will be pleased to know that Microsoft has launched a somewhat unique deal for Windows Store customers. From today until April 3, 2017, users can purchase the season pass for Season 7 of the TV series, and receive two episodes of Telltale"s critically acclaimed The Walking Dead: A New Frontier game for free as well.
The aforementioned game is the third in Telltale Games" highly popular series of the same name, which focuses on a strong narrative, relatable characters, and gut-wrenching decisions.
It is also worth noting that while it hasn"t been explicitly stated by Microsoft, the offer likely applies to both the HD and SD versions of the TV show. The season pass can be purchased for $41.99 and $26.99 respectively.
On the other hand, Episode 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier can be separately purchased for $4.99 each. The price points of the two episodes certainly make the purchase of the season pass worth some consideration.
Microsoft has also pointed out that customers who purchase the season pass will receive the codes for the two episodes within one week. However, it is important to note that the codes can only be redeemed through the Windows 10 Store version of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier.
