With the free Windows 10 upgrade offer now expired after exactly one year as Microsoft promised, the company is looking to reward members who enrolled in its Insider Program. In a new email sent out to Insiders today, the Redmond giant has thanked members with exclusive wallpapers and more, along with a couple of other statistics - in addition to those revealed yesterday.
The email from the company reads as follows:
Over the last year, Windows Insiders like you have continued to help make Windows 10 even more amazing. Today, we celebrate the one-year anniversary by celebrating you, our Insiders. Thanks to your feedback, Windows is the best it can be — and getting better every day.
Apart from this, the company has also shared some interesting stats about its Windows Insider Program. Microsoft states that over 8.6 million pieces of feedback were submitted by Insiders since the launch of Windows 10. In a separate tweet by the official @Windows Twitter account, the company also notes that more than 7 million users are enrolled in its Windows 10 Insider Program - a figure Microsoft apparently hasn"t improved upon since it was announced back in September 2015.
Microsoft has also stated that Insiders spent a total of 443 million hours on Windows 10. Keeping in mind that there are roughly 7 million Insiders, this can be calculated to almost 63 hours utilized by each user on average. Additionally, the company also announced that the Program is now available in 30 languages.
In order to celebrate the first anniversary of Windows 10 as well as its Insiders, Microsoft is rewarding its users with an exclusive wallpaper package, an animated Ninja Cat GIF and an "Insider Program badge", which the company states will be visible on your profile in the Feedback Hub in a few days. Microsoft plans to rollout out Redstone 2 Insider builds to Insiders in August.
