Microsoft says that Windows Phone has 120,000 apps

Microsoft has announced today that Windows Phone has 120,000 apps in its Windows Phone store and that it is adding hundreds every day. This announcement was made at the WP8 keynote and that the marketplace is growing at an incredible rate.

For Microsoft, growing its app store is an important goal around fostering the image of the Windows Phone platform. Seeing as consumers love apps, having a plethora of them available for download is a critical selling point.

While Windows Phone still has lower app counts than Apple and Google, they are quickly catching up and with Nokia putting out dozens of high quality apps, the quality of the Windows Phone Store is improving every day.

Let us know what your favorite app is and with over 120,000 options, it might be harder than you think to pick just one.
