Microsoft is offering a couple of freebies to buyers of its Surface Book in the UK - although its offer falls well short of the deal it"s also running on the lower-priced Surface Pro 4.
Until September 21, those who purchase any Surface Book from the Microsoft Store in the UK will get a one-year Office 365 Personal subscription worth £59.99, along with a free set of Master & Dynamics ME05 earphones worth £159.
The total value of those freebies comes to £218.99, whether you purchase the entry-level Surface Book for £1,299, or the range-topping 1TB model for £2,649.
But Surface Pro 4 buyers are currently getting a much better deal. Those who purchase the cheapest models get the free earphones, and up to £129 off the tablet itself. Buyers of the range-topping Surface Pro 4 variants get a whopping £569 worth of free stuff.
However, you might want to think twice before buying either a Book or Pro 4, even with these offers available. Microsoft is expected to hold a hardware launch event next month, at which it will reportedly announce "refreshed" versions of both devices with some spec revisions, including faster processors.
