As we reported earlier, Microsoft will start selling the Windows RT-based Surface tablet on October 26th in eight countries. US and Canadian residents can buy the tablet online or via various Microsoft Store retail locations. Citizens in the other six countries will be limited to buying the tablet online at their respective Microsoft store website.
Australia will have the 32 GB version, without the Touch Cover, for $559 AUD and with the Touch Cover for $679 AUD. The 64 GB with Touch Cover is priced at $789 AUD. It will start shipping to users on November 6th. Canada will sell the Surface for $519 for the 32 GB version without the Touch Cover and $619 with the Touch Cover. The price goes up to $719 for the 64 GB version with Touch Cover.
Germany will sell the Surface for 479 euros for the 32 GB version without the Touch Cover and 579 euros with the Touch Cover. The price in Germany is 679 euros for the 64 GB version with Touch Cover. France will sell the Surface for 489 euros for the 32 GB version without the Touch Cover and 589 euros with the Touch Cover. The price in France goes up to 694 euros for the 64 GB version with Touch Cover.
The UK will sell the Surface for £399 for the 32 GB version without the Touch Cover and £479 with the Touch Cover. It goes up to £559 for 64 GB with Touch Cover. In the US, it will be $499 for 32 GB without the Touch Cover, $599 with the Touch Cover and $699 for the 64 GB version with the Touch Cover.
Microsoft has yet to reveal the price for the Surface for China and Hong Kong.
