Microsoft is no stranger to service outages in its Microsoft 365 offerings, and it seems that Teams, the communication platform for organizations, is the latest one to be affected. As reported by OnMSFT, the issue is preventing many users, especially those in the U.S., from logging in to the service.
While the official health status page for Microsoft 365 shows no problems, Microsoft confirmed via its Twitter page that the problem is known and under investigation. DownDetector.com, which keeps tracks of user-reported service outages, has seen a spike in reports for both Teams and Office 365, and recent comments on the latter mostly point to the communications platform as well.
The outage seems to be much more prominent in the United States, based on the outage map, but some users in central Europe might also be affected. If you"re unable to use the service, you may want to keep an eye on the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, where the issue is being tracked under TM173756.
This isn"t the first time in recent weeks that Microsoft"s services go down. About a month ago, many Office 365 customers were having trouble accessing their mailboxes. Hopefully, the outage will be fixed sooner rather than later.
