Microsoft will finally launch the 4G LTE model of its Surface 3 tablet in Australia in the next few weeks - ten months after the device was first unveiled.
Microsoft originally announced the Surface 3 at the end of March 2015, including variants of the device with integrated 4G LTE connectivity. The Wi-Fi models went on sale a few weeks later, but it took a bit longer for those with cellular support to reach buyers, going on sale via AT&T in the US in late July, before eventually making their way to other select markets.
Now, as Delimiter reports, the Surface 3 with 4G LTE will launch in Australia on January 28, with availability via the Microsoft Store site, retailers JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman, and at the Microsoft Flagship Store in Sydney. Pricing has not yet been revealed for the 4G models, but the Wi-Fi only versions start at $699 AUD (inc. GST).
Meanwhile, pre-orders have already opened for Microsoft"s Surface Book in Australia, as well as in New Zealand. The flagship Windows 10 notebook will also begin shipping in both markets on January 28.
