Microsoft is stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to mobile Internet browsing. Internet Explorer 10, the latest version of the world"s most popular desktop browser, has been struggling to gain traction on mobile and tablets, after weak sales of both Windows Phone handsets and Surface tablets. Microsoft doesn"t make IE10 for other operating systems, like Mozilla and Google do, so we can"t expect to see gains from other platforms.
In addition to a myriad of different marketing campaigns for IE10, Microsoft are also harnessing the power of Vine, an iOS app that records six seconds of video that can then be easily shared with Twitter and Facebook. Below are some of the new 6-second ads that Microsoft have created:
It"s certainly an interesting approach to marketing as with Vine, you only have a few seconds to tell your story and make your point. Make sure to turn on the sound when watching the clips as it helps to paint the entire picture.
