What you see in the image above is a work environment crafted by Microsoft. The new spaces were revealed today in a lengthy post on the official Microsoft Blog showcasing the ins and outs of these majestic tree houses.
As you might expect, this isn"t something that most would have in their backyard. Complete with three different structures; two of the units are open spaces that maximize the outdoor elements, while the third is an enclosed space that provides proper shelter. Currently, the two open spaces are available to be used, while the third area will be ready by the end of this year.
As interesting as these spaces are, Microsoft won"t be transitioning all of its office spaces to the treetops, instead, these units are part of a new system of "technology-enabled outdoor districts". As you can imagine there is plenty of technology packed into the trees like, weatherproofed furniture, plenty of electrical sockets that are hidden carefully, protected from the elements, and of course, Wi-Fi.
According to the post, the spaces are meant to coincide with the trees, expanding and contracting when needed. It will indeed be interesting to see how well these hold up over time. If interested in more details, be sure to head to the source link below.
