Microsoft updated Outlook for Android Wear to include a very useful watch face

Microsoft debuted Outlook for Android Wear in mid-April and they haven"t skipped a beat in quickly adding features. In the first major update since then, Microsoft have expanded Outlook for Android Wear to include a watch face too - and it actually looks pretty great.

Posted over on the Microsoft Office blog, the Outlook team detailed their plans for wearables and how they focused on the idea of providing "relevant, timely information at a glance." This was emphasized in the watch face itself, which allows for heavy integration of a user"s calendar and bringing it to the forefront. This includes showing the day"s schedule with a swipe to the left, and showing the next event in the calendar along with a countdown and description in the middle of the watch face.

The update includes the ability to heavily customize the color scheme.

When a user doesn"t have anything happening within the next twelve hours on their calendar, the watch face instead shows you the names of people who"ve recently emailed you alongside the number of unread emails.

The Outlook team doesn"t detail what else they have planned for Outlook for Android Wear, but they do invite the community to contribute. For anyone who might have a feature request for Outlook for Android Wear or Outlook for Apple Watch, they specify that you can submit those features by going to Settings > Help & Feedback > Suggest a Feature on the app.
