With its launch of Windows 10, Microsoft also took the opportunity to rebrand its Xbox entertainment apps on the new OS. Xbox Music was relaunched as "Groove", while Xbox Video became "Movies & TV" (or "Film & TV" in some markets). Now, a couple of weeks after the OS began its rollout, Microsoft has released updated versions of both apps.
As Windows Central reports, both apps have been bumped up to version 3.6.1239.0 with the latest update. On Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft has added Live Tile support to the Groove app, along with other unspecified "minor fixes and improvements". On PCs, Groove gets additional parental controls, plus "added visual indicators for playlists that are local only".
The Movies & TV app also includes various undefined fixes, along with new links encouraging users to discover similar and related content after watching something. The app also picked up a minor update earlier this week on Windows 10 Mobile to fix a video playback bug that caused it to crash in the latest Insider Preview build 10512.
Both apps are available via the Windows Store links below; if the apps haven"t yet been updated on your Windows 10 device, you can manually trigger the process by opening the Store app, and checking for updates under "Downloads".
