Microsoft has kicked of MIX 2010 a little early today by announcing the availability of the Collaborative Translations Framework for Microsoft Translator.
The technology combines the speed of automatic machine translation with the accuracy of human translation. Microsoft Translator provides real-time, in-place translations on web sites that embed a Widget. The Widget is available now and will allow pages to be translated in real time for multiple languages. Microsoft also provides an API for web developers to call the translation service via SOAP, HTTP and AJAX for their application.
According to Microsoft, all MIX 2010 attendees will receive an exclusive invite code for Collaborative Translations Framework. If you are not a MIX attendee then you can also request an invite. You can test the Translator below.
Neowin will be live blogging from MIX 2010 in approximately two hours time. Stay tuned for more announcements on Windows Phone 7 and Internet Explorer 9 this week.
